Welcome to The Gujarat Cleft and Craniofacial Research Institute (The GCCRI)

The GCCRI is a unique Medical charity, delivering a complete package of medical support to some of the most vulnerable members of Indian society. The medical team at the trust performs free reconstructive surgery for children and adults born with cleft lip and palate deformities.

We aim to bring the smile back on the faces of our patients and we pledge to achieve this by providing a holistic service regardless of cost or resource.

We seek and treat the most stigmatized members of society, working with them to raise their confidence and giving them their dignity by providing a world class care and support package. Aside from our medical expertise, our range of support extends to providing specialist advice to children with special needs, nutritional support, speech therapy and much more.

We at The GCCRI are blessed with a philanthropic team of professionals whose aim is to serve the most marginalized in society and to help turn their lives around.

We are collaborating with like-minded partners to strengthen and extend our reach. Further to our commitment for effective corporate social responsibility, we are creating a platform for academic excellence and have developed a model of training by recruiting cohorts and developing exemplars and making this available to medics across India and beyond for the exchange of best practice and ultimately the evolution of better treatment in this field of work.

Finally, we believe that everyone deserves to live their lives with dignity and for those born with a cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformity, dignity begins with a smile...

We want our mission to be yours
